When does Olive Young go on sale?
The 2026 autumn sale (올영세일) runs from 30 August to 5 September, seven days. Around 34,000 autumn beauty and wellness products are included — of the four quarterly sales Olive Young runs, this is the one that lines up with the change of season.

Within the window there is a daily-changing “deal of the day” (오늘의 특가): a brand that is not on today’s list is often on tomorrow’s, so it is worth looking again rather than assuming a price is fixed for the week. Beyond that, limited-edition sets (기획세트) and 1+1 bundles are separate products in their own right and usually work out cheaper per unit than buying singly. II. Olive Young Global vs Korea’s own site with proxy shopping
Decide where you are buying before you decide what. There are two routes: Olive Young Global ships to more than 60 countries directly, or you order on Korea’s own site and forward the parcel. Global is the same brand’s official store for overseas customers — one brand, but priced separately from the Korean site and promoted separately. So the same product carries two different prices, and a sale widens the gap.
Why can’t I just order from Olive Young Korea?
Because checkout is closed to you. The Korean site needs a Korean mobile number for identity verification, and payment has to go through a Korean-issued credit card. It is not a language problem and no amount of browser translation gets past it — without Korean identity the order cannot be completed. That is the step proxy shopping removes: we place and pay for the order on the Korean site, and all you supply is the product link, the variant and the quantity.

How much is the gap? We priced all 10
“Higher” on its own is not much use, so we priced every one of the 10 picks on both sides on 31 August. Seven can be compared directly — two are not sold on Global at all, and one (rom&nd) was on a one-day deal whose price has since lapsed, so it is left out of the totals:

Across those seven, Global comes to US$197.34 and Korea’s own site to US$113.26 — a gap of US$84.08, about 43%. Add the 6% service fee back and the Korean route is US$120.06, still US$77.28 (about 39%) cheaper, before forwarding. Per item the gap runs from 12% to 57%, and the deeper the discount, the wider the two sides get — Anua’s PDRN serum is 53% off on the Korean site, Global did not follow, and that one item differs by US$26.19.
And there is a difference that is not about price: what you can buy at all. Of the 10 picks, HOLIKA HOLIKA’s Sanrio eyeshadow and JUNG SAEM MOOL’s limited-edition cushion are not listed on Global. Korea-only items, limited sets and 1+1 bundles usually are not — if you want them, the Korean site is the only place.
So which one?
Buying one or two things, and landing just over Global’s free-shipping threshold — Global saves you the forwarding and the service fee and may well come out ahead. But that window is narrow: past that line the unit-price gap outruns the shipping it saves.
Buying several things in a sale, or after Korea-only sets — use the Korean site with proxy shopping. The unit price is lower to begin with, and forwarding is shared out: you pay the first pound once, so the more items travel together, the less each one carries. The more you buy, the more the proxy route wins.

III. Autumn colour is this round’s focus
Olive Young has weighted this sale towards colour cosmetics, and the reason is plain in its own numbers: last September, searches for “colour makeup” (색조) on its site rose 20% month on month, and the narrower terms rose far more — autumn warm palettes (가을웜 팔레트) +379%, autumn lip (가을립) +344%, autumn blush (가을 블러셔) +327%.
Korean shoppers swap their whole colour story the moment autumn arrives, and those products are at their cheapest during the sale. The autumn colour items Olive Young itself named are peripera (페리페라) rose tints, NAMING (네이밍) pencil liner, OFRA Cosmetics (오프라 코스메틱) highlighter and the VDL cushion set (쿠션 기획세트).

This is the Sanrio version, with My Melody and Kuromi on the case and pressed into the pan itself. Beyond the eyeshadow the range now includes the new Gel Tail texture plus Piece Beam and Piece Balm. At this price it is worth taking several shades.
